On page 174, Jerome plays a version of Hallelujah by a kid called Buckley.
Well, Jeff Buckley is the musician Zadie Smith is referring to, and he is sort of my Elvis. Listen to him everyday. Here is one of his versions of Hallelujah. You can find the song off of his first album Grace, as well as almost every live show he ever recorded.
This particular version is played in the key of C#, rather than C, but that just means that it sounds even prettier.
